by keeping your food safe
WASH YOUR HANDS THOROUGHLY
WITH SOAP AND WATER - use
any soap , it doesn't have to be
anti bacterial or alcohol based
soap, lather your hands for at
least 20 seconds and lather your
palms, back of the hand, between
fingers, finger nails, up till
wrist and rinse with fresh
potable water before handling
any food.
HOT FOODS HOT - keep the
hot foods piping hot till it is
consumed and all hot foods
should be eaten within 2 hours
of cooking or else bacteria will
eat before you and you'll be
eating leftovers of bacteria or
eating bacteria with the food.
You already know the result.
COLD FOODS COLD - foods
which require refrigeration
should be kept in the
refrigerator as soon as they are
prepared and the temperature of
refrigerator should not be more
than
5°C.
Or else its bacterial party.
BEWARE OF CROSS CONTAMINATION
- Do not cook meat, fish,
chicken, beef, pork, etc. on the
same place without thoroughly
washing the juices or meat
pieces before cooking anything
else or using the same area like
cutting board, wash area, etc.
As bacteria flourishes on meat
and can easily cross contaminate
other foods.
WASH VEGETABLES, SALADS AND
FRUITS THOROUGHLY -
Vegetables, salads and fruits
are prone to contaminants like
pesticides, insecticides,
fungicides, growth promoters,
herbicides, bacteria, moulds, un
hygienic handling residues,
pollution in open market places,
etc. hence thorough Washing of
individual piece of vegetable,
salad or fruit is very necessary
to avoid unwanted
diseases.Nowadays there are
product available which help in
better washing of vegetables and
fruits like Veg 'n' fru wash
which is based on edible
ingredients like sorbitol esters
which are used in making ice
cream, etc. hence it is safe.
Veg 'n' fru wash can be
effectively used to wash away
all surface contaminants like
pesticide residue, fungicide
residue, bacteria, dirt, sand ,
wax, grime, oils, from the
surface of vegetables and
fruits.
COOK FOOD THOROUHGLY -
Any kind of recipe be it non
vegetarian (meat based) or
Vegetarian (vegetable based)
should be cooked thoroughly to
ensure complete bacterial
carnage (mass kill).
WHEN FEELING SIN THROW IN THE
BIN - If you are fishy about
any food cooked earlier, you see
a change in colour, change in
texture, chance in taste, change
in smell don't think twice just
transfer the complete dish on a
paper plate and stand at a
distance (depending on the size
of the dish and your aiming
capability) stand with your
right foot forward and the dish
on the paper plate on your right
hand and aim for the bin. If you
aim right then treat your self
with a new dish or clean up well
and try aiming better next time.
ENSURE nobody eat the doubtful
dish.
